Speech therapy is my passion

Supporting confident communication for every learner

From children building early language to adults strengthening literacy and communication, I love making a meaningful difference in people's lives. I know how hard it can be to navigate the health and education systems, and I use my skills and experience to support you through a calm, empowering therapy journey.

I'm a speech pathologist and qualified teacher with more than 30 years' experience. I'm dedicated to evidence-based practice, trained in ASD assessment and trauma-informed care, and I stay close to the everyday experience of learning through my work in a Year 1 classroom.

Sim Dhaliwal — Speech Pathologist & Teacher

30+ years supporting Adelaide families

Hi, I'm Sim. I'm a speech pathologist and qualified teacher with more than 30 years' experience supporting children, adolescents and adults with language, literacy and communication.

I co-authored Nelson Phonics, hold a Master of Teaching (Primary), and work part-time in a Year 1 classroom — so I understand how learning happens in real classrooms as well as in therapy.

My approach is calm, structured and collaborative. I look at the "why" behind a difficulty and work closely with families, teachers and referring practitioners so progress feels meaningful and lasting.

When I'm not working, I enjoy time with family, reading and being part of my local Adelaide community.

Let's connect
Every learner can make progress with the right support at the right time. My job is to find the “why” behind a difficulty and walk alongside you until it clicks.
